One of my responsibilities, when cooking with Ashok, is to make Chai Tea. He insists that I pour several cups and offer it to everybody in the kitchen.
Take crushed cardamon seeds, sliced ginger, cloves, and other spices (such as licorice seeds) if desired, and throw them into a pot of water. Bring to a rolling boil for several minutes. Add regular black tea bags, and boil for another few minutes. Add milk, and boil for another minute or two. Strain, and serve. I like it with a bit of sugar.
