I was sitting around drinking a beer, wondering what I would make for my next loaf of bread. Naturally, 2 and 2 came together and I googled "beer bread."
I found this recipe online; it is quick and simple:
* 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
* 3 cups self-rising flour
* 3 tablespoons white sugar
Didn't have self-rising flour, so I googled that:
"For each cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt."
The directions say to mix it all up and then toss it into the oven, so I did.

It puffed up LOTS, though the bubbles were small compared to a regular bread. Had a thick crunchy crust, and tasted yeasty. This is a great recipe for bread in a pinch...
