- 2 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb hot italian saussage (good quality) - remove from casing and crumble
- 2 large onions diced
- 6 large cloves garlic minced
- 2 x 28 ounce of pastene brand canned tomatoes
- 1 x 6.5 ounce can of tomato paste
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tspn thyme (dry)
- 2 tspn basil (dry)
- 1/2 cup fresh italian parsley
- 1 tspn chili flakes
- s + p to taste

Bolognese Sauce
This is a recipe I got from Martha James, via Matt James about a year ago. It's excellent. Goes well over spaghetti or on a piece of baguette.
